Both plans get the same initial website scope and the same human review and approval process; the difference is payment and ownership timing. Own Your Website is a one-time $2,000 setup plus $29/month for hosting and care — ownership eligibility begins once the setup payment is verified and the 14-day refund window ends, or earlier if you sign an express waiver of the remaining refund right. Start With $0 has no setup fee: you pay $149/month, of which $29 covers hosting and care and $120 counts toward the $2,400 of ownership credits ownership requires. Starting from $0 upfront, that normally means the 20th successful payment, after which monthly billing drops to $29/mo for continued hosting and care.

Website ownership means eligibility to request the Complete Website Code Transfer Package — the transferable website source code and permitted transferable assets produced specifically for your site, plus the brand assets you submit and your leads and customer data under our Privacy Policy. Once your plan's ownership requirements are satisfied, we prepare a Complete Website Code Transfer Package at no additional transfer fee: a clean source-code repository or downloadable archive, your supplied text and transferable images and logos used in the site, other assets we're legally permitted to transfer, dependency and build configuration files, an inventory of required environment-variable names with no credentials or secret values, and a written manifest of what's included and excluded. We run a reasonable build check before delivery. On Own Your Website, code ownership and package eligibility begin after the 14-day refund window ends, or earlier if you sign an express, informed waiver of the remaining refund right; if you take a setup refund, those rights end and you must delete any copies received. The package is not a running or fully functional hosted website. It does not include our internal development platform or proprietary production tools, prompts, project history or templates, credentials or secret values, databases or database records, lead records, user accounts or passwords, authentication systems, storage buckets, server or edge functions, email systems, Stripe or payment systems, analytics infrastructure, CRM integrations, IDX or MLS services, third-party accounts or licenses, hosting accounts, data migration, domain or DNS configuration, deployment, installation, setup instructions, consultation, transition assistance, or post-transfer support. After cancellation or transfer we don't offer installation, migration, hosting setup, registrar transfers, or DNS migration, free or paid. The package will likely need modification by a developer you hire and pay before it runs elsewhere. Customer-owned domains remain yours; a subdomain we provide stays with Boring Business Work and is not transferred.

Ownership on Start With $0 requires both at least 20 successfully settled, qualifying, nonreversed payments and at least $2,400 in net settled, nonrefunded ownership credits — the Start With $0 installment ownership price, compared with the $2,000 ownership price when you pay upfront — snapshotted from the plan and terms you accepted. On the current $149/month plan, $29 of each successful payment is hosting and care and the remaining $120 earns ownership credit, so an account starting at $0 upfront normally reaches $2,400 on the 20th successful payment. Discounts, refunds, disputes, missed payments, and excluded charges (taxes, care, domains, IDX/MLS, add-ons, third-party fees, credits and waived amounts) can delay ownership beyond payment 20, and ownership can never happen before both requirements are met, so we don't promise a specific date. Reaching the amount doesn't by itself deliver or migrate anything: you still request the transfer and meet the remaining eligibility rules, including the refund-period or waiver condition, your account being current, and the transfer-package terms. If you cancel before the amount is met, service stops and ownership does not transfer. Payments already made are nonrefundable because each covers a month of hosting and care.

Promotions change what you pay, not what ownership costs. Ownership always takes $2,400 in net qualifying ownership credits, snapshotted from the plan and terms you accepted rather than any later price change. A fully sponsored account normally pays nothing that qualifies, so it accumulates no ownership credit and has no projected ownership date; it's a hosted-service arrangement unless and until eligible payments actually total the required amount. On a discounted Start With $0 account, each successful payment still allocates the snapshotted service portion (currently $29) to hosting and care first, and only the remaining eligible pre-tax amount earns credit — so a discount simply moves your ownership date later, it never lowers the required amount. Qualifying payments are settled, nonrefunded plan payments; promotional credits, waived amounts, taxes, third-party fees, refunds, chargebacks, failed payments, and post-ownership care charges don't count, and refunds or chargebacks reverse the related credit.

Yes, with at least 30 days' written notice through the portal; charges continue through the notice period and partial months aren't prorated unless law requires. On Own Your Website, your site stays live through the paid notice period, followed by a 30-day post-cancellation period during which the existing site may remain available and, on request and if you're eligible, we deliver the Complete Website Code Transfer Package — source code and permitted assets only. That 30-day period is not migration support, and after cancellation or transfer we don't offer installation, migration, hosting setup, registrar transfers, or DNS migration, free or paid. Moving the site and third-party setup is your responsibility and your own developer's. On Start With $0, cancelling before your ownership credits reach $2,400 stops the service, ownership does not transfer, and no refund is generated.

Possibly — an early buyout is optional and is offered only under a separate written quote for the ownership credits you still need. We don't promise that a buyout is available and there is no fixed formula. Cancelling still requires 30 days' written notice.

On Own Your Website, the setup payment is 90% refundable within 14 days of a successful setup charge. We retain 10% to cover the onboarding work already delivered. Taking a setup refund permanently ends your website-code ownership and transfer-package eligibility, and you must delete any copies you received. Code ownership vests after the refund window closes, or earlier if you sign an express waiver of the remaining refund right.

We include reasonable first-build revisions on setup until you approve the site. It's a commitment to work through the initial revision round together — not a promise of specific leads, rankings, or business outcomes.

Copy tweaks, photo swaps, contact info updates, listing status changes, adding testimonials, and small section adjustments — the reasonable-use ongoing edits most agents actually need. Full redesigns and non-realtor content may need a small quote.
